"Louis Armstrong's Sideman"Trumpet & SingerEnrico Tomasso
Five times winner of the 'best jazz trumpeter' in the UK recent work from Enrico includes performing on the soundtrack for the film 'The Great Gatsby' and many other films.
As a boy he went on tour with Louis Armstrong for two weeks being mentored by the great man after which he kept in contact throughout Armstrong's later life.
In a richly varied career Enrico has performed and recorded with Amy Winehouse, Acker Bilk, Bryan Ferry (including all Bryan's world tours), George Melly, Jools Holland and many many more.
The musicians backing Enrico are widely recognised as the best in Britain in their own right. Voted as the UK's best Bass player is Dave Green a long term friend of Charlie Watts from the Rolling Stones as seen performing together recently on BBC TV. Voted the UK's best Guitarist is Canadian born Dominic Ashworth star of Digby Fairweather's Half Dozen and Derek Nash's Picanto Bands. Plus we have the Drummer from the 1960's Caravan band Rod Brown who also appears on three of Clare Teals albums. And last but not least we have 144Club bandleader who is also record winning and record breaking (he won a Clark Terry Record in a Raffle when he was 19 and broke it on the way home!) Roan Kearsey-Lawson! (Some have even said he could be one of the world's best vibraphonists!)

"In The Groove"Album Launch Celebration withTed Beament
Ted Beament is one of the finest, most versatile jazz pianists the UK has ever produced.
Also one of the nicest, warmest men in the business Ted joins us tonight to celebrate the launch of another of his fine albums. This one is titled "In The Groove", and it certainly is! A quality sound produced by a masterful trio led by Ted with Alec Dankworth voted the UK's best Double Bass player and Winston Clifford voted the UK's best drummer.
Ted is known by many as the pianist for many years to the late, great BBC presenter and trumpeter Humphrey Lyttleton. With an extensive, impressive C.V. we can recommend highly enough hearing him live and buying his quality new album.
Tonight Ted will perform many of the tracks (standards & originals) from his album 'In The Groove', he will be joined by Alec Dankworth on Bass and Winston Clifford on Drums, plus Roan Kearsey-Lawson on Vibes and guest.
Why not come along tonight a get this famous trio to sign the album, right here at the 144 club!
